Q: Why choose Achieve Sober Living, LLC?

A: Achieve Sober Living, LLC is not just about having roommates who do not drink or do drugs. There is much more to it! Living in this home allows you to monitor and improve your health, safety and well-being using peer support and accountability. The goal is to help you maintain sobriety, build new skills, develop healthy behaviors, establish positive relationships, give and receive peer support, and practice healthy ways to overcome triggers to prevent relapse.

Q: What is sober living?

A: Establishing a sober lifestyle is difficult during the early stages of recovery. Sober living is a great way to give yourself more support and strength after coming out of inpatient treatment. When your environment supports your recovery, you have a much better chance of staying sober. A sober home is a place where people in recovery can live among others who are in recovery in order to have a sober life style that is characterized by healthy behaviors.

Q: Does sober living replace treatment?

A: No, we are a “sober house.” Achieve Sober Living, LLC does not provide clinical services that a treatment center might. Residents of our home should understand they are signing a “sober home” contract, not a typical “lease agreement.” We are not a substitute for any psychotherapy, medical or clinical treatment needs. It is required that you actively attend outpatient treatment outside of the home and/or follow a 12-step program at least twice a week.

Q: How do I get into sober living?

A: Achieve Sober Living LLC requires a simple conversation via phone to schedule a face to face interview (call today!). During the call, you will be asked for medical records to make sure you are healthy and ready for sober living. The interview process then takes place during our weekly house meeting and is relatively informal. You may be given drug screens before entry and during your stay. This is to ensure the health and safety of everyone in the home. You will be notified whether or not you are accepted into the home.

Q: How do I pay for sober living?

A: Unfortunately, our home is self-pay only. However, the participation fee offered is very reasonable and it varies depending on whether you have a shared room or single room. Residents are responsible for purchasing and cooking their own food. However, the house is fully furnished (I.e. furniture, cookware, Wi-Fi, linens, cleaning supplies, toiletries) and utilities are paid for.

Q: What if you relapse while living in Achieve Sober Living, LLC?

A: Although relapse is a common part of the recovery process, it threatens the recovery of all residents. Therefore, the goal is to protect the health of all residents. At Achieve Sober Living, LLC, individuals who relapse are removed from the sober living home and are referred to a treatment rehab center. The individual would not be able return until they complete a 29-day rehab program or complete treatment and demonstrate an ability to continually attend support group meetings.

Q: Are there any house rules?

A: Yes. All residents are expected to behave with respect to those they are living with as well as others in the neighborhood. There are standards that all sober living residents must follow. Please contact us for more information.
